Ease of Setup:
Satellite TV to PC was very easy to set up. Once we purchased the TV on PC software we were surfing hundreds of channels pretty fast. There was nothing to the setup but to click install and allow the setup wizard to do it's thing.

Ease of Use:
Satellite TV to PC also has a simple and straight to the point interface which is a breeze to navigate through.

Channels:
The original Satellite TV to PC software only gave access to 2500 plus channels but they just released a 2010 Elite Edition which now gives you access to over 3600 HD channels. We really like this improvement with the software..

Picture Quality:
The 2010 Elite Edition is a tremendous improvement in picture quality. On par with our #1 selection. We were really pleased in this category.

Customer Support:
We felt the customer support was really good, but just not as responsive as our top choice. They answered questions both before and after the purchase but we would have liked a quicker turnaround time.

Overall:
With the introduction of the 2010 Elite Edition we are actually thrilled with Satellite TV to PC. You can't go wrong with this software to watch tv on the computer but it was a close call and this software wound up in 2nd place only lacking with Mac compatibility and slightly slower customer service.

Ease of Setup:
StreamDirect setup was pretty easy, it maybe took us slightly longer than we would have liked but we're only talking a matter of a minute or so. Besides this minor gripe we were up and running in no time.

Ease of Use:
StreamDirect has a fairly simple interface to use. Again, perhaps we are spoiled to our 1st and 2nd ranked software but our tests are rigorous and standards are high. Once we got accustomed to the interface we felt right at home and were surfing all of the channels all night long.

Channels:
The awesome thing about this software is that they add channels everyday. StreamDirect now has a whopping 4500+ HD channels with any possible interest you can think of.

Picture Quality:
The quality is very good and comparable to any of the others. No complaints here.

Customer Support:
StreamDirect's customer support was good, not lightning fast but they are making efforts to improve. They were knowledgeable and helpful, and that's what counts.

Overall:
StreamDirect shines in the sheer volume of channels available. If you are looking for the widest selection of HD channels then StreamDirect is the software for you.
